Weekly Mowing

Weekly mowing consists of picking up all the trash in the lawn and landscape beds; mowing at an appropriate height to prevent any scalping or clumping - usually around 3-3.5 inches depending on the lawn; trimming around all the trees, edging and curb lines; blowing all the grass clippings back into the lawn for a nice clean look and pulling any weeds in the landscape beds. Roundup can be applied to all weeds on the property as needed.

Spring Clean-up

It is important to do a thorough clean-up to remove any sand, trash, and debris from the lawn that has accumulated over the winter months. De-thatching, aerating, and fertilizing will help water, air, and nutrients enter the root zone, and will give your lawn a healthy start to the season.
We use a fertilizer with a crabgrass pre-emergent to help reduce crabgrass in the lawn. After our cleanups, we can schedule the parking lot or roadways to be swept clean within a few days of the clean-up.

Fall Clean Up

It is very important to clean all leaves out of the lawn and landscape beds to prevent any disease from occurring and to make it easier to complete the clean-up in the spring. Any leaves remaining on the driveways, patios, or sidewalks could leave stains.

Core Aeration

Core Aeration is done in the spring and/or fall. It reduces soil compaction and helps control thatch in lawns while allowing water, air, and nutrients to move into the root zone resulting in a strong healthy root base.

Fertilizing

We make sure your lawn is getting just the right amount of nutrients it needs to achieve its full potential. Your property will be fertilized 3-4 times per season using a dry 90 day slow release granular fertilizer sold by a professional grade distributor. We do not use phosphorus based fertilizers. The granules will be blown away from any hard surfaces and back into the lawn to help prevent runoff.

Herbicides

Two liquid herbicide applications will be applied to your lawn each year to wipe out any broad-leaf weeds. The second herbicide application can include a crabgrass killer if you have an excessive amount of crabgrass in your lawn. Herbicide applications will be applied during favorable weather conditions to maximize its effectiveness.

Pruning

Pruning the shrubs at least once each year is important to help maintain their size and shape. Some faster-growing shrubs may require additional pruning. We are thorough in picking up all the clippings out of the landscape beds to give you a nice clean look. Evergreen shrubs are best to prune in the spring during the spring cleanup. Pruning them in the hot summer, or late summer / fall months will cause them to be more susceptible to winter burn. Any trees in the landscape that need to be pruned will be done professionally upon your request.

Field Mowing

For mowing large fields, we use our Toro Grounds-master 16' mower. This is billed at an hourly rate.
